Security Officer - Energy Company
As a Security Officer Energy Company in Redford, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will also support access control activities and deliver exceptional customer service and communication while working with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant details to supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site policies.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities, and support operational continuity by reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or perimeter issues that could affect the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
