Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming environment for all visitors and personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols inside the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public while performing security-related duties.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Support the maintenance of order and adherence to rules and regulations within the government location.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when required during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
