What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using established protocols relevant to the chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the site and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual conditions, taking into account the unique aspects of a chemical and petrochemical environment.
• Monitor entry points and screen individuals entering or exiting the location, maintaining awareness of site access requirements and restrictions.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues observed during patrols or while on post.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation or shelter-in-place procedures, as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management to relay information regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
