Security Officer Access Monitor

As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. This role blends customer service, communication, and visible presence to help protect people and property. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or sensitive areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for suspicious activity, access control issues, and/or facility concerns.
- Document visitor activity, access exceptions, and/or incident details, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
