As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Professional supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, data-sensitive areas, parking facilities, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
- Maintain required firearms qualifications and carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal, client, and applicable legal requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
