Security Officer Patrol Detail with Active Clearance

As a Security Officer Patrol Detail with Active Clearance in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an aero and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to support daily operations through strong communication and customer service while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, and innovative and always acting with integrity.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas at an aerospace and defense location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards to site leadership.
- Support site operations by observing sensitive areas, following post orders, and preparing accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation before, during, and after patrol activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
