Security Officer - Part Time Mornings

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a professional environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and strong communication. This role offers the chance to deliver customer service with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while helping to deter security-related incidents and support daily operations.

- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers, and following Allied Universal and location policies.
- Monitor entry and exit points for the distribution location, document visitor and vehicle activity, issue temporary access materials when appropriate, and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocol and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing doors, gates, trailer areas, and other restricted spaces for security-related concerns.
- Communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, pickups, and/or after-hours access requests, helping to deter unauthorized entry and support the orderly flow of people and vehicles.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
