As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Transportation in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a transportation location. In this driving and armed role, you will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the transportation facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
• Maintain detailed records and write reports of incidents, observations, and any security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, following established protocols for the transportation environment.
• Utilize communication devices and security-related equipment to remain in contact with team members and site management during patrols and incident responses.
• Participate in ongoing training and drills to stay prepared for emergency response situations relevant to the transportation sector.

Minimum Requirements:

• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton certifications are preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is required for driving positions, and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Driving assignments are preferred.
• A current Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
