Security Officer Entry Level Full Time

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will help monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support access awareness, provide exceptional customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring team known for being agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, road access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions when required, and document security-related events, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
- Support emergency response activities by assisting with directions, traffic and pedestrian coordination, and communication during weather events, operational disruptions, and/or other location-based incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
