Security Officer - Armed Agency Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Agency Patrol in Ridgeland, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor check-in. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and the public, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related access control at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
• Monitor assigned areas for policy violations, unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, and potential hazards, and report concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate clearly with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership, and preserve required documentation for incidents and routine patrol activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
