What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Monitor and help manage pedestrian and/or vehicle entry points by checking credentials, authorizations, deliveries, and/or access requests in accordance with post orders and client-specific protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, as applicable to the location, to help identify and report unauthorized access, hazards, and/or suspicious activity.
- Document daily activities, access events, incidents, and/or policy exceptions through required logs, reports, and communication tools, while supporting Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- An EMT certification is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
