Security Officer Part Time Utilities

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utility location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activities while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Support site operations during weather events, outages, and/or other disruptions by following post orders, assisting with traffic or access control, and maintaining detailed activity logs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Guard card is required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
