As a Security Officer Armed Lobby Access in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed Front Desk Professional, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this visible role, you will help address security-related concerns while reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that puts people first.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, visitor reception activities, and/or emergency response support within a government office location.
- Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet employees and visitors, verify identification and/or appointment information, and help to direct foot traffic according to location policies.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and other required documentation, and report security-related concerns, access issues, and/or policy violations through appropriate channels.
- Answer phones, provide general assistance at the entrance area, and help to support a professional atmosphere while following post orders and client-facing service expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
