Security Officer Experienced Full Time Multiple Shifts Job in Roanoke, Virginia

As a Security Officer Patrol DCJS Licensed in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist visitors with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout banking areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, maintenance issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel in accordance with established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a Virginia DCJS license.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
