Security Officer Armed - Full Time

As a Security Officer Armed - Full Time in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong communication and professional presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and document observations according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entry points, check credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate school or Allied Universal contacts.
- Support arrival, dismissal, special events, and after-hours activities by helping with access control, traffic direction, and visible presence across the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess a current armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
