As a Custom Protection Officer Armed Customer Service in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and congregants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and public gathering location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
