Security Officer Screening Technician

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site protocols, and report irregularities or prohibited items to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting orderly access control and screening operations.
- Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and/or maintaining screening post awareness.
- Document screening-related activities, observations, and/or incidents accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or public agency representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have access control or badge experience preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
