Security Officer - Screening Agent

As a Security Officer Screening Agent in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access, conduct screening procedures, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this role, you will remain visible, communicate clearly, and deliver strong customer service while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, screening concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events through detailed reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
