Security Guard – Saint John’s, Newfoundland

Allied Universal is currently seeking professional Security Guards to join our team in Saint John’s, Newfoundland.

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, monitoring site activities, and responding to situations requiring professionalism, sound judgment, and effective communication.
Position Details
Position: Security Guard
Location: Saint John’s, Newfoundland
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Qualifications & Madatory Requirements
- Must have resided in Canada for the past five (5) years.
- Valid Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Customer Service certification (mandatory).
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, or alarm systems is an asset.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant work experience.
- Must successfully complete a five (5)-year background investigation.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access points and verify authorization for entry onto the site.
- Conduct regular security patrols to ensure the protection of the property.
- Monitor site activities and report any unusual or suspicious situations.
- Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Complete clear and accurate incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with site procedures, security policies, and client requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and client partners.
