Security Flex Officer- Hospital Patrol

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer. The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. As a Security Professional Flex Officer, you’ll use our exclusive shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability - giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. The Security Professional Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

- Position: Full-Time Security Officer- FLEX
- Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Must be available to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work Locations: Officers must be willing to work at any of the 7 locations, based on business needs.
- Requirements:
- Open availability is required.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must be flexible and able to travel between assigned locations as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Compliance with hospital vaccination requirements is required.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, if required by the post.
- At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High school diploma/GED verifiable by a 3rd party background check
- Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Must be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state
- At least 2 years of verifiable work history with no gaps in employment more than 90 days
- Ability to pass a federal 10-panel drug test
- Willing to undergo TB bloodwork and vaccination compliance requirements
- Ability to remain calm, confident, and reliable in stressful situations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods and respond quickly when needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
