As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas while remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, responding to incidents, and interacting with the public to provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the assigned location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities as required by site-specific guidelines.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials when necessary.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
• Assist local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
• Adhere to all legal and company policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a current and valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
