What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
  • Control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying identification, checking authorization lists, and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries to approved entry points.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communication systems, and report unusual activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial scene control and notifying appropriate internal contacts and public responders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, gates, loading zones, and perimeter fencing. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Perform vehicle and pedestrian checks at designated points, including observing for prohibited items and reporting concerns per site policy.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, including patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation, with accurate and timely details.
  • Assist with enforcement of posted rules and site policies, using de-escalation techniques and requesting additional support when needed.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel, supervisors, and Allied Universal leadership via radio, phone, and/or digital systems, including providing status updates and relaying instructions.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuation and sheltering as directed by post orders, including helping to guide occupants and coordinating with responding agencies.
  • Participate in required training, briefings, and drills related to armed post duties, access control, and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Maintain an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
