Position Type: Full Time

Must have 3 years of either military, law enforcement, corrections or 5 years of armed security experience.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure atmosphere.
• Carry and be responsible for a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities promptly and accurately.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas within the location.
• Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and/or local law enforcement as required by circumstances.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings in order to identify potential security-related concerns and respond appropriately.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client policies, procedures, and post orders related to armed security operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or 5 years of armed security experience.
• Must possess a current armed guard card or license.
• Must have a Level III armed certification if working in Texas.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
