Security Guard - Armed Retail Patrols

As a Security Guard - Armed Retail Patrols in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service at a dynamic retail location. This role involves routine patrols, visible presence, and quick response to situations, all while carrying out armed and/or driving responsibilities as required. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, remaining alert to unusual activity and reporting observations as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
• Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws while performing all duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
