Security Officer Access Gates Overnights Job in San Antonio, Texas

As a Security Officer Access Gates in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and supporting residents and visitors with professional service. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while helping to deter incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of community grounds, amenities, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and potential security-related concerns.
- Support a professional residential environment by providing directions, reporting maintenance or property concerns through established channels, and following post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
