Security Officer Patrol

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a shelter location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate staff and/or public services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare clear, detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
