As a Security Officer X Ray Image Screening in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government court setting, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and supporting security-related procedures. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with court visitors and staff, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, attorneys, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen visitors and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established entry procedures; identify prohibited items and follow applicable reporting and disposition protocols.
- Maintain orderly access points by verifying authorized entry, directing individuals to appropriate areas, and communicating facility rules in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
