Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Site Patrol Job in San Carlos, California

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Patrol in San Carlos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for passengers, employees, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property.
- Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to established procedures.
- Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations in clear, accurate reports while maintaining professional communication with the public and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
