As a Security Officer Patrol Presence in San Carlos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government transit location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and public areas, report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and provide directions or assistance to visitors, passengers, and staff.
- Support a professional environment by observing daily operations, reporting unusual activity, and following post orders and Allied Universal standards throughout varying conditions and shifts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
