Armed Security Officer Overnight Shipyard Site Patrol Job in San Diego, California

As a Armed Security Officer Overnight Shipyard Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials and visitor authorization in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and observations, while following applicable laws, policies, and firearms protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least six months of security-related experience.
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
