Job Description:

Allied Universal Janitorial ® Company, is hiring a Floor/ Steam Technician. The Floor/ SteamTechnician also known as a pressure washer, uses a high-pressure water jet to clean hard surfaces. Power washer operators may have the following responsibilities:

Cleaning: Use the pressure washer to clean a variety of surfaces, such as driveways, fences, siding, gutters, roofs, decks, and windows. They may also use degreasers or removal chemicals.

The Floor/ SteamTechnician will deliver the highest quality of preventative maintenance cleaning services to some of the most impressive commercial facilities in the world. Allied Universal Janitorial Services provides training and equipment to ensure success.

PAY $18.00 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation: Remove debris, obstacles, and loose materials before pressure washing.
• Safety: Follow safety procedures to protect themselves and client property.
• Equipment: Load and unload equipment from vehicles, check equipment for proper working order, and store equipment properly.
• Customer service: Interact with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and review completed work with them.
• This will be a temporary to eventually a permanent position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
• No prior work history required
• Ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Excellent written, oral, and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn new skills and train others
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills to be able to access timecards, training, and employment information
• Ability to multi-task

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior janitorial work experience
• Prior experience as a floor, steam, or pressure washer technician
• Experience in cleaning and restoring floor coverings such as carpet, tile, vinyl
• Valid driver’s license
