Security Officer - Active DoD Clearance Required

As a Security Officer - Active DoD Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aero and defense location as a Front Desk professional, where you will welcome visitors, manage access and badge activity, monitor entry points, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, clear communication, and working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and front desk post instructions at a defense-related location.
- Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access through approved sign-in, badging, and visitor management practices.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
- Answer phones, direct guests, receive deliveries, and maintain accurate front desk logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.
- Support access control operations by observing entry points, reporting suspicious behavior, and following escalation procedures for security-related concerns and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
