As a Security Officer Active DoD Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aero and defense location where you will serve at the front desk, greet employees and visitors, manage access and badge activity, and support key security-related communications. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or front desk protocols at a defense-related location.
- Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor access, and document entries, deliveries, and/or incidents in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Answer phones, assist with directions and general inquiries, and communicate with site personnel regarding arrivals, access requests, and other front desk-related concerns.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of front entrance activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following established escalation procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
