Security Officer Commercial License Patrol Driver Job in San Diego, California

As a Security Officer Commercial License Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid commercial driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
