Security Officer - Highrise Corporate Site Patrol

As a Security Officer - Highrise Corporate Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication, while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by observing visitor activity, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations.
- Support daily operations at a financial services location by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or incidents to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
