Security Officer - Morning Technology Site Patrol Job in San Diego, California

As a Security Officer - Morning Technology Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service. Use computer or tablet tools to document activity and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. Our agile, reliable, innovative team puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, laboratories, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
