As a Security Officer - Outdoor Retail Center in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry points, access activity, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with visitor directions, and support daily property operations.
- Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
