Security Officer - Overnight Corporate Highrise Patrol Job in San Diego, California

As a Security Officer - Overnight Corporate Highrise Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff while reporting security-related concerns and supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with property procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
