As a Security Officer - Overnight Utility Company Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting access control and other security-related activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other restricted areas to help support authorized access, visitor processing, and compliance with location rules and procedures.
- Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, observations, and daily activities, and relay important information during shift transitions and/or to site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
