Security Officer - Utility Company Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Utility Company Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, while putting people first and acting with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related duties appropriate to a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entrances, gates, and/or designated access points, verify credentials when required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity according to site policies.
- Prepare accurate reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and support emergency response activities in accordance with post instructions and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
