Allied Universal is looking to hire a FED - ContractManager. To support and ensure success in this role, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course designed to provide best practices, tools and guidance.The Contract Manager collaborates with the GOV Operations Regional Director to oversee employees and operational activities at specific FPS contracts associated with their assigned account. Salary: $144,840.02/year

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Ensures staffing, training, certification and performance levels are maintained according to DHS/FPS National Standards of Work (NSOW) as well as all state/local and regional regulations and company policies.
  • Oversees work schedules and assignments, Safety Program, equipment inventory, weekly payroll, monthly training requests and exhibits. Produces monthly reports for both company and Federal Protective Service (FPS), a Division of Homeland Security.
  • Assists contract trainers with Firearms Instruction, Safety and Qualification, Records Management, SMARTbook/NPSOLP (National Protective Security Officer Lesson Plan) Basic and Refresher course, Personally Identifiable Information and Active Threat Awareness training.
  • Evaluates candidates and performs hiring of all contract personnel, to include gathering all pertinent paperwork to begin adjudication process for OPM (Office of Personnel Management) background investigations.
  • Provides liaison services between FPS Region Commanding Officer (CO), Protective Security Officer Program Manager (PSOPM) and Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) and company management. Works with FPS to foster relationships with the client organizations and Department of Homeland Security.
  • Maintains excellent customer relations with clients, visitors, employees and union officials.
  • Participates in unemployment or other contract-necessary hearings.
  • Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

In order to be HIRED, candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements and examination results must be favorable as defined by the DHS contractual requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship and read, write and speak English fluently
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a state-Issued driver's license
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree In Criminal Justice, Security Operations or equivalent or successful completion of Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) course
  • Have minimum of ten (10) years of successful experience in field supervision (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security professional service).

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Leadership skills that foster teamwork, Innovation, agility, client relations and achieving desired results.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances.
  • Must undergo and meet company and FPS standards for background and reference checks.
  • Results-oriented problem-solving skills that meet client and employee needs, while running a profitable business
  • Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office and (BI) Business Intelligence tools for metrics analysis, reporting, automation, and presentations
  • Dynamic networking skills displaying a commitment to safety and trust by participating in local community, client and industry events
  • Ability to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients. Ability to write correspondence in an intelligent manner.
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to be an effective team leader. Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential Information.
  • Regular computer usage. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

  • Law enforcement, military and/or contract or proprietary security services experience
  • Experience managing a dispersed workforce in a multi-location operation
