As a Security Officer - Armed Federal Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through clear communication and customer service. As an armed post, you will follow site procedures while conducting routine rounds, documenting observations, and responding to calls for service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance to staff and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification and/or credentials as required by post orders, and directing visitors to approved locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts per site procedures.
  • Write timely, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, including maintaining required logs and documentation.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and/or medical response notifications in accordance with site-specific instructions.
  • Provide professional communication with client representatives, visitors, and public officials, and escalate concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Assist with screening of property and/or vehicles when assigned, following posted instructions and site policies.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and follow Allied Universal policies and site-specific post orders while performing all assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • - Have 1+ years law enforcement experience or 2+ years security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years security-related experience.
  • - Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • - A guard card/license is preferred.
  • - Customer service experience is preferred.
  • - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
