Security Officer Front Desk Access Control Job in San Francisco, California

As a Security Officer Front Desk Access Control in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will welcome visitors, manage access and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This highly visible role helps maintain a professional, secure environment while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide a welcoming, professional front-desk presence for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused office location.
- Support access-control procedures by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor front-desk communications, receive and route calls or requests, and promptly report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility-related issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
