Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, riders, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to supervisors and/or public agency contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit-related buildings, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions requiring attention.
- Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized activity, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with post orders.
- Support daily operations at a government location by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with crowd management, special events, and/or service disruptions as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
