Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Protection Job in San Jose, California

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Protection in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, riders, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative locations, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate transit personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points, public areas, and assigned locations for unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations; document observations and incidents in clear reports.
- Assist with directing passengers and visitors, providing information, and supporting orderly operations during service disruptions, special events, and emergencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
