Security Officer GED Required for Patrol

As a Security Officer GED Required for Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
- Support daily operations at the location by providing directions, assisting with visitor processing, and maintaining a visible presence aligned with Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
