Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with supervisors and/or local public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, public areas, and restricted locations to help to deter unauthorized entry, support orderly operations, and provide directions or assistance to the public.
- Support crowd management, special events, and daily transit operations by observing activity, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders and emergency procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
