Security Officer Patrol Readiness Agent

As a Security Officer Patrol Readiness Agent in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with exceptional customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will contribute to a welcoming location through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, caring approach each day.

- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and report details according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points, observe resident and visitor activity, and communicate with property management and/or local responders when needed regarding security-related concerns.
- Support a welcoming residential environment by assisting with routine inquiries, documenting daily activities, and following post orders for assigned locations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
