Security Officer Patrol Screening Agent

As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Agent in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This unarmed role blends customer service and communication with a people-first approach. As part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, you will support daily operations with integrity and teamwork while making a positive impact each shift.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, parking areas, shipping and receiving points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas such as administrative spaces, production support areas, and other sensitive locations.
- Support security-related operations at a technology-focused location by reporting maintenance concerns, assisting with traffic and/or delivery coordination, and following post orders for after-hours activity, escorts, and incident reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
