As a Security Officer - Tech Reception Desk in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic tech and media location. You will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and managing access to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or guests at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional presence.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures to support a secure environment within a technology and media location.
  • Monitor access control systems and check identification to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports related to daily activities and any security-related incidents.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities according to established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
